Oro Valley Community Foundation Grants  

   

The Oro Valley Community Foundation addresses needs in the Oro Valley area by making grants in strategic areas.

  • Youth Services and Education Programs that support young people of the Oro Valley area, including scholarships, sports activities, educational needs at local schools, school lunch subsidies and other youth-oriented activities important to youth
  • Helping Hands Programs to ensure that Oro Valley residents have transportation, access to local medical facilities, food and more
  • Arts and Sciences Community arts, music and science programs that give people the gifts of enhancing and enriching their lives
  • General Support to meet the changing needs and emergencies in the community and operational needs at the foundation

The Oro Valley Community Foundation conducts quarterly grant rounds for nonprofit organizations in the Oro Valley area. Some of our previous grants include: the Catalina Schools Junior Achievement program; the Intercity Community Services Disadvantaged Teens program; Gap Ministries Homes for Children; a reading program for children at the Oro Valley Library; the Gold Music in the Schools program; the Greater Oro Valley Arts Council; Kid's Closet; the Oro Valley Historical Society; Teens Sew Cool; and youth theater programs.

Grant Application Guidelines

 

  • Only IRS authorized, nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations, public K-12 schools or public colleges and universities are eligible
  • Applications may not exceed three pages in length
  • No marketing or other collateral material will be accepted

        
The following must be included in your grant application:

  • Name of organization
  • Contact person
  • Contact information
  • IRS 501(c)(3) number
  • NCES number (for academic organizations only)
  • Purpose of grant request
  • Amount requested
  • Need date and completion date
  • Beneficiaries of grant
  • Other sources of funding and amount received from each
  • Specifically how the grant will be used
  • Other organizations involved if any
  • Metrics or measures of succes, for instance, the number of people directly benefited or the success of event
  • Officers and Board of Directors
  • How long the organization has been in operation
  • Total annual budget
  • Cost of organizational administration
  • How previous funding has been used on programs and the beneficiaries
  • Auditor's name and contact information
