The Santa Cruz Community Foundation hosts the Second Annual Summit for Non-profit Organizations on February 25, 2010.

To address the economic crisis, the Santa Cruz Community Foundation (SCCF), an affiliate of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, will hold an Economic Summit on the future of Nonprofit Organizations (NPOs) in Santa Cruz County on January 27, 2009 from 3pm – 5pm at Cochise College in Nogales, AZ.

Nogales, Arizona (January 7, 2009) – The Santa Cruz Community Foundation recently granted $20,000 to Nogales Community Development to provide a 2:1 match toward savings for working individuals and families seeking financial independence.

Nogales International -- Arts Connection is composed of art organizations dedicated to the promotion and advancement of the arts through collaboration and education. Participating organizations include the Patagonia Creative Arts Association, The Hilltop Gallery, Tubac Center of the Arts, and the Santa Cruz Foundation for the Performing Arts.  Arts Connection is sponsored by the Santa Cruz Community Foundation.

Green Valley News and Sun -- The Santa Cruz Community Foundation in Nogales, Arizona and FESAC in Nogales, Sonora work closely in cross-border collaboration to raise money and recruit volunteers to work with grassroots nonprofit organizations.

Green Valley News and Sun-- The Santa Cruz Community Foundation partners with a sister foundation, FESAC, in Nogales, Sonora to offer support and structure to nonprofits in the border region and promotes fund-raising and citizen participation as they identify and address community issues.

Nogales International--Santa Cruz Community Foundation, started by a group of Nogales families active in local philanthropy, is an affiliate of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona and a member of the U.S.-Mexico Border Philanthropy Partnership. Its board of directors consists of community leaders from Santa Cruz County and volunteers from all over the Santa Cruz Valley, including Green Valley.

Green Valley News and Sun -- Foundation helps non-profits on both sides of the border. That’s one reason the Santa Cruz Community Foundation, headquartered on the U.S. side, partners with a sister organization in Sonora, FESAC (Fundación del Empresariado Sonorense), to help fund about 30 non-profit organizations on both sides of the border. They range from groups that promote art education in schools, to literacy centers, to volunteer-run soup kitchens for migrants who have been deported back to Mexico and are left alone and lost in a strange city.
