The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona provides high level professional oversight of management and investment strategies as well as financial policy decision making. Endowed Funds
CFSA's investments are structured for long-term success and our diversified investment strategies position us to be able to serve southern Arizona for years to come.

Our current endowment portfolio has an investment mix of

• 55-60% equities
• 30-40% fixed income
• up to 5% hedge fund

Why hedge fund? Over the past year, the investment committee thoroughly investigated and approved gradual investment into the hedge fund as a strategy to lessen our risk exposure.  This strategy, in fact, has worked: hedge fund results were only at -22% in 2008, which helped our total returns.

Non-Endowed Funds
CFSA offers four asset allocation strategies for non-endowed funds with an annual balance of $10,000 or more. These options have been developed in partnership with Wurtz & Associates to account for your individual risk tolerance and provide for consistency and growth in line with your giving horizon.
