The Center for Planned Giving was established in November 2002 through a partnership between the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona and Leave A Legacy® Southern Arizona. The Center provides free impartial philanthropic resources and services to donors. This confidential service is available for those exploring the possibilities of planned and major charitable giving in the entire southern Arizona community and beyond.

The Center’s free confidential services include

• Consultations with individuals exploring the possibilities of planned giving
• Consultations with individuals discussing short and long term philanthropic goals including providing a gift to charity in their estate plan
• Consultations with you and your professional advisor on philanthropic planning and how to include family and charity into your overall estate plan
• Discussions about providing for a permanent legacy in the form of endowment gifts including the impact to charitable programs and the non profit organization
• Preparation of gift illustrations and calculations for charitable gift annuities and other life income charitable gift arrangements
• Referrals to other services, including professional advisors, fundraising consultants and other outlets for information and resources related to planned giving
• Online assistance through the Planned Giving Design Center, which provides professional advisors with technical resources to use when advising clients in areas of charitable gift and estate planning.  The Web site includes descriptions of planned giving vehicles, tax and legislative alerts, IRS forms, rates and tables and a digest of articles by national experts
