IMPACT 1:  Services for victims of domestic violence and abuse

Children and women in southern Arizona will have access to a continuum of coordinated social services and improved behavioral and mental health.

Temporary emergency shelter for victims and families of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. It is the only shelter of its kind in Graham and Greenlee Counties.

Contraceptive care and well-woman exams for female victims of sexual assault. Screening tests for early detection of cervical and breast cancer, sexually transmitted infections or other abnormalities.

Utility assistance to low income families and installation of energy efficient lighting and weatherization materials in homes. Helps families avoid eviction and/or homelessness; provides budgeting training.

Asthma Prevention Program for chronic asthma patients ages 3-18 in low income families. Helps reduce emergency room visits and hospitalizations for families who likely do not have health insurance.

English Language Acquisition for Adults using one on one and small classroom methods to help adult students acquire skills in reading, writing and speaking in English.

Senior Companion Program provides stipends to volunteers over age 60 to assist other older and disabled adults with in-home care. Improves physical and mental well being of older adults.
