Through the generosity of the Smedley Family in honor of the late Betty Smedley, who dedicated much of her life to the Hughes Federal Credit Union, this scholarship award program has been created to help provide students with an opportunity to attend higher education and accredited business/vocational schools.

The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona is pleased to partner with Hughes Federal Credit Union to present this scholarship opportunity.  The program has been created for Hughes Federal Credit Union children or grandchildren of employees with preference given to children of employees. 

The application deadline for 2012-13 was March 16, 2012.
