Community Investment Grants

The Community Foundation Board of Trustees has chosen to align its Community Investment Grant Round (formerly the Spring Grant Round) with several of the ongoing strategic planning processes designed to bring a stronger vision to our community. As a result, the Board has identified several funding priorities for the 2008 Community Investment Grant Round: Life-Long Learning; Workforce Development and Skills Training; and Arts, Culture and Heritage. Additionally, funding will be designated to support programs and organizations working toward Healthy People and Quality of Life.

The 2008 Community Grant Round has $330,000 available to grant to nonprofits in southern Arizona. We would like to thank the Blessings Fund for its generous contribution to the total available to grant. This is the second consecutive year that the Blessings Fund, a donor-advised fund held at CFSA, has made a contribution toward the total available to grant through the annual grant round. Thanks to this participation, a special emphasis will be placed on programs that support underserved children, youth and seniors.

Applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations or grassroots organizations conducting charitable work in southern Arizona.

More information is available on the Community Investment Grant Round here. Guidelines and instructions are available through our Grant and Award Download Center. Letters of Inquiry are due to the Foundation offices on January 30, 2008. Recipients will be announced in June.
