 The Center for Planned Giving was established in November 2002 as an impartial philanthropic resource for not-for-profit organizations, professional advisors and donors. Created through a partnership between the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona and Leave A Legacy™ Southern Arizona, the Center is dedicated to increasing the planned and major gifts made to charitable organizations in the community.
- Educational seminars for fundraising professionals in cooperation with Leave A Legacy
- Educational presentations for board members, volunteers and professional advisors
- Consultation for not-for-profits on planned giving program design and assistance with gift planning strategies for donors
- Written planned giving readiness assessments for Leave A Legacy members
- Confidential consultation with individuals exploring the possibilities of planned giving
- Preparation of gift illustrations and calculations
- A collection of reference materials on planned giving
- Referrals to other services, including professional advisors, fundraising consultants and other sources of information related to planned giving
- On-line assistance through GiftPlanSoAZ.org, the Planned Giving Design Center, which includes descriptions of planned giving vehicles, tax and legislative alerts, IRS forms, rates and tables and a digest of articles by national experts.
